Who We Need:

Malwarebytes is looking for a contract-to-hire UX Designer to join the Product Growth Team and help drive engagement and conversion on Malwarebytes.com through the creation of high-performing pages and flows.

As our ideal candidate, you design Websites to make an impact – your websites are useable, engaging and result in conversions. You communicate via flowcharts, wireframes and design specs. You are also skilled at visual design and deliver complete pages with design specs to ensure engineers can deliver what you envision. You understand Website visitors through the use of usability tests and other user experience research methods. You stay up-to-date on Web UX trends and insights. You are able to defend your design choices using data . You have experience working in an agile Scrum fashion with developers. You dream of always “building the better mousetrap”. You’re never satisfied without exploring all the options and continuously improving the Web site. You want to make a positive impact in the world – and at Malwarebytes you can help users protect themselves from cyber threats – even if they are not ready to be a paying customer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to determine the best design that incorporates usability with business value and technical feasibility
  • Utilize market and user research to ensure the team is leveraging UX trends, the website remains competitive, and most importantly, the users’ needs are met
  • Create web page and flow designs and deliver mockups and design specs to engineering

Skills You’ll Need to Have:

  • 3+ years of UX Design experience on websites; a mix of Consumer and Business-to-Business experience is a plus
  • Experience designing homepages, product pages, checkout flows, and more
  • Knowledge of how to structure Information Architecture
  • Experience in usability testing, in-person and online is a plus
  • Web-friendly animation creation experience
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Invision, Sketch, Zeplin, or similar tools
  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in a Design discipline
