About the role

The Accounting Team is seeking to add a Senior GL Accountant to our existing team. The Senior General Ledger Accountant will support the timely completion of the month-end close. This role will also, own various functional accounting areas and gain exposure to ad-hoc initiatives. The Senior General Ledger Accountant will take a lead support role in the projects that involve implementation, communication and interpretation of accounting and financial policies, control and system improvements, provide analytical support to other departments as it relates to accounting issues and drive continuous cost improvement aspects across all of the business. 

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Prepare journal entries for review
  • Reconcile, investigate, and resolve variances in general ledger accounts
  • Provide feedback in improving and streamlining month-end close processes
  • Manage effective internal and external relationships
  • Ability and willingness to share information but can differentiate when the need of confidentiality is required
  • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations for key accounts assigned
  • Preparation of monthly financial statement and annual reporting
  • Preparation of key accounts flux analysis for management review
  • Support audit requirements related to specifically assigned areas
  • Maintain an accrued liability and payment schedule for contractual vendors
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and cash-flow reporting 
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist in internal financial controls and procedure documentation
  • Partnership with the team in resolving issues and streamlining the accounting process, reconciliations, and ad-hoc projects as needed including those that may involve complex or advanced accounting concepts. 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of general accounting experience 
  • Customer service oriented with a positive attitude; Team player 
  • Data Security Mindset. Ability to handle confidential financial information and plans confidential
  • Working knowledge of GAAP 
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize & self-direct the day-to-day workload 
  • Ensures accountability following through on commitments and meeting deadlines 
  • CPA and / or Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, and accounting ERP systems, SAP preferred and is a plus. 
  • Attention to detail, organized and high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills Ability to Interpret financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities, and risks 
  • Experience with Audit and financial close required 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;ability to keep management, and vendors informed. 
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000-$115,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
