Who We're Looking For:

Technical Writers communicate accurate information in a clear and concise manner. As a Technical Writer, your role involves identifying documentation needs, interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), drafting internal policy and procedure, identifying areas for process improvement, creating brand new content, and announcing documentation updates. Technical writers are integral to onboarding new employees and helping existing employees collaborate cross-departmentally.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular SME interviews.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Write, publish, and maintain high-quality policy and procedural information.
  • Identify the audience’s documentation needs.
  • Build a base of technical documentation for new projects.
  • Work with technical staff to make process easier for end users.
  • Obtain usability feedback from agents, stakeholders, etc.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA in English, Journalism, Technical Communications, or related field or related experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of Technical Writing experience.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • The employee is expected to be punctual and ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
  • The employee will be exposed to a fast-paced environment and is expected to be able to adjust accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing in a structured authoring environment.
  • Experience with Madcap Flare.
  • Experience in the Finance industry.
  • Experience with compliance documentation.
