What you'll do

As an experienced Senior Product Manager, you will help develop the payments product strategy and roadmap. You will shape the roadmap by leveraging the right mix of payment methods for DocuSign’s global customer base across multiple regions and develop payment capabilities that drive higher conversion and retention rates. Your objectives are directly linked to business metrics such as revenue, operational efficiency, cost, customer acquisition, expansion and retention. This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on product design and feasibility, business case, QBRs and improvement areas. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The role must manage consistencies across a growing team and build capabilities that enable and empower our Customer Success, GoToMarket, Sales and Finance teams with the right tools and capabilities to efficiently meet DocuSign’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will also have superior analytical abilities, a track record of finding practical, simple and creative solutions to complicated problems related to payments. You should be comfortable working both at a strategic level and diving deep into the details to ensure solution feasibility and quality of execution.Your work will directly impact the end to end flows for payment from acquisition to settlement, reconciliation including refunds and chargebacks.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Lead Product Manager - Payments and Risk.

Responsibility

  • Ideate, develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and OKRs
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on business impact and available resources
  • Identify and develop payment experiences that enable customers to self-serve buy and renew using their preferred payment methods in preferred currency
  • Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, customer success, engineering, design, and sales, to define product requirements and prioritize features
  • Document clear requirements and use cases to be passed on to engineering and UX, and drive product initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of new features and enhancements
  • Use a combination of qualitative and quantitative insights, as well as industry best practices to prioritize opportunities including internal and external viewpoints
  • Utilize data analytics and metrics to assess product performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Monitor KPIs related to payment success, passive churn, conversion, and other relevant metrics
  • Partner with Data and Experimentation teams to drive a continuous stream of A/B tests worldwide to optimize current payment experiences and capabilities

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic 

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Design and Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in digital product management preferably in digital SAAS business
  • 5+ years of experience on leading payment optimization initiatives and launching new payment methods across various geographies
  • Deep understanding of domestic and international payment options including cards, direct debits and alternate payment methods and payment gateways in a recurring business environment
  • Track record of building and launching payment offerings across the globe with a strong focus on payment optimizations that reduce friction, drive higher conversions and retention
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze payments data from a variety of sources, identify key insights, spot optimization opportunities, and inform product decisions, with a bias to action and experimentation

Preferred 

  • MBA
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PSD2) and their impact on payments and subscriptions.
  • 5+ years of experience having worked directly with UX, Engineering, and Testing teams on leading payment related initiatives
  • Experience driving complex projects across a large, cross functional organization

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $130,500 - $208,050 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
