Position Summary:

The Director of Digital Cloud Platforms Integration directs a team of individuals responsible for the external cloud infrastructure platform for Zoetis. Responsible worldwide to ensure that business units and application teams follow the appropriate governance framework for building new cloud solutions at Zoetis. This position will include working with high level leadership within the company to ensure that we continue to fully support and drive the mission of Zoetis forward. The leader will work with other digital application teams to ensure application design fits cloud application development best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead team of Cloud Engagement/Digital Platform Engineers and Specialists who partner with business teams to deploy platforms and applications in external cloud environments.
• Direct Coding Standards (security, performance, and integration) as it relates to cloud solution development.
• Direct and Maintain Cloud Solution Architecture Guidelines - (SAAS vs. PAAS vs. IAAS, n-tier, data/information handling, encryption)
• With the Digital Product Engineering teams, identify opportunities to create standardized integration points and reusable components for key platforms and data stores to speed solution development.
• Work closely with internal Datacenter & Cloud Services team to ensure alignment with business needs and DC/Cloud hosting capabilities and capacity.
• Participate in a Hosting Governance Steering Committee and help maintain evolving approach toward DC vs. Cloud, PAAS vs. IAAS, etc.
• Maintain continuous partnership with relevant Information Security and Identity teams to ensure bulletproof solutions and the ongoing protection of Zoetis and customer data.
• Drive strategic alliances especially with technology partners that enhance the business units competitive positioning
• Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization. 
• Monitor departments performance to ensure goals and objectives are achieved or exceeded on a consistent basis.
• Provide strong leadership of project-based project management resources
• Act as a thought leader and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the newest cloud technologies. 

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field is required
• Master’s Degree is preferred, but not required

Experience:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years of cloud development and oversight required
• Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams. This includes providing direction, coaching and giving effective feedback to team members
• Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
• Extensive IT leadership experience managing multiple cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
• Strong background in business processes, technologies and systems that support best-in-class operations including high volume and high availability environments
• Technical expertise with multi-platform computing infrastructures (e.g. private & public cloud, on and off premises cloud)

• A strong background in directing end to end cloud technologies and architecture
• Comfortable facilitating group discussions and leading strategy and design activities; able to translate customer needs and opportunities into specifications that can be referred to by the analyst, development and migration teams;
