IT Program/Project Management – Business Analyst (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will focus on and participate in the implementation of technical architecture in Enterprise Risk Management’s (ERM) Credit & Global Markets Risk department, using the latest technologies available. Specific duties of the position include: Implementing an internal aggregation engine for the Risk IT team to handle inputs from multiple risk calculation platforms and to implement risk reporting database infrastructure, utilizing programming and software development tools and technologies such as XL/VBA, Python, Java Script, React JS, and Cloud development tools and technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark; Preparing prototypes using Java Script/React JS in collaboration with our offshore teams; Ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of risk management while implementing and developing new reports and technical solutions for the Credit and Global Markets risk teams, utilizing experience in market risk and trading in capital markets; Collaborating with a team of intra-department risk analysts to holistically deliver risk management solutions, utilizing good understanding of risk measures and methodologies, such as greeks, VaR, and Stress Testing; Working with all key stakeholders to ensure a robust and timely management for intraday and end-of-day risk; and Taking ownership and responsibility for an entire set of projects, interacting with teams across the globe (ERM, Business, IT and more), utilizing knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools like SpotFire. Less than 1% domestic travel. The role is located in Boston and is required to travel to New York to meet in person with supervisor up to 2 times per year. Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics or a related technical field, or its equivalent; plus 5 years of experience in any occupation/job title providing professional Business Analytics experience. Alternately Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics or a related technical field, or its equivalent; plus 2 years of experience in any occupation/job title providing professional Business Analytics experience.

Must have: Demonstrated solid ability with programming and software development tools and technologies such as XL/VBA, Python, Java Script, or React JS, and Cloud development tools and technologies, such as Hadoop and/or Spark; Proven prior experience in market risk and trading in capital markets; Solid understanding of risk measures and methodologies, such as greeks, VaR, and Stress Testing; Demonstrated experience working with all key stakeholders to ensure a robust and timely management for intraday and end-of-day risk; Solid knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools like SpotFire; and Knowledge in Artificial intelligence and machine learning is key enabling the team to optimize our risk monitoring processes.

Salary Range:

$146,162 - $160,000 Annual
