A great opportunity exists to join Zurich’s General Insurance team as Senior Actuarial Manager.

This role reports to the Australian Chief Actuary and bears responsibility for producing much of the team’s actuarial advice.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding claims experience & performance in order to influence stakeholders / the company’s tactics & strategy
  • Capital modelling, reserving valuation, reinsurance, catastrophe modelling, strategic advice for the business.
  • Undertaking and assisting the wider team with non-reserving activities
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee the professional development of the team
  • Ensure that processes and standards are consistent with regulatory and Zurich standards.

Important to your success - let's grow together 

  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent body with 10 years or more experience
  • Deep understanding of (general insurance) actuarial processes and techniques
  • Accomplished leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor high performing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
