About the Role:
The Architecture Lead position is an exciting opportunity for immediate professional growth and development within an industry disrupting environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team with a common goal of delivering the best possible product and experience to the end user. From programming through construction you will be driving the preparation and coordination of project documentation. During the design phase you will take the lead on communicating with external consultants as they prepare their documentation. As the project shifts into construction you will work closely with the WeWork Project and Construction Managers to ensure the design intent is met and the user experience is of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Design, document, and execute multiple simultaneous high quality projects, by collaborating with internal and external teams
- Maintain WeWork standards, goals, and brand ideals
- Communicate regularly with management and your team regarding project status
- Take ownership of identified issues and work together with your team internally to resolve them
- Produce design and hand-off packages for a project utilizing Revit
- Support the Real Estate team in the Due Diligence process as needed
- Lead the coordination of a comprehensive and coordinated Construction Document set
- Be the main point of contact for external consultants
- Depending on project locations some travel will be required
Qualifications:
- BArch / MArch Degree or equivalent required, licensed architect preferred
- 5 - 8 years professional design experience in high quality commercial or hospitality projects (Mixed-use residential, cultural, and institutional experience also will be considered)
- A commitment to delivering outstanding high quality design
- Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented
- General knowledge of building materials and construction details
- Knowledge and experience working with local building codes and other applicable laws
- Demonstrable experience coordinating design documentation with external consultants
- Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills
- Excellent decision-making skills and a highly resourceful problem solver
- Strong desire to learn
- Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and ‘people’ skills
- Proficient in the following programs: Revit, all things Google, Bluebeam
- Fluent in English
