Job Description

This paid position is a local resource to support and maintain the IT systems at the plant for both local user and Corporate IT. The IT co-op will work in cooperation with the IT Manager to aid in completion of day-to-day issues, as well as long term projects to improve IT systems at the plant. Will report directly to the Plant IT Manager.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and support all computer systems, networks, printers, phones, video systems, etc. throughout the plant
  • Assist with all IT related subjects
  • Desk top support for all users onsite
  • Complete trainings for new hires, as well as training for new program, software, etc.
  • Advise on IT related issues for projects going on throughout the plant.
  • Advise and give suggestions on current technology and utilization to optimize processes with the plant
  • Resource to Corporate IT for projects
  • Investigation of IT related system issues/problems
  • Show proficiency in Windows 7 and Windows 10 Workstation in a domain environment
  • Any other duties assigned by the IT Manager
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of a minimum of one (1) year of college/university coursework, having maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 in pursuit of a BS in IT or related subject area
  • Computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week in the summer and a minimum of 10 hours per week during the school year.
  • Strong communication skills

  • Investigatory and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow through with a project or task
  • Able to work with multiple different individuals and on multiple different teams
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment
