The Caesars Entertainment Corporation (“CEC”) financial reporting, stock-based compensation and debt accounting team is responsible for completing all periodic and annual reporting for CEC and one or more other reporting entities to the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and for completing various non-SEC reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as stock-based compensation and debt accounting. The financial reporting, stock-based compensation and debt accounting team also provides certain shared services to other reporting functions, including submitting completed SEC filings and performing XBRL (“eXtensible Business Reporting Language”) tagging and evaluates and documents complex accounting transactions. The financial reporting, stock-based compensation and debt accounting team works very closely with other teams within the accounting department, legal, treasury, investor relations, financial planning & analysis, and members of senior management and the executive team.

The Supervising Senior of Financial Reporting position primarily includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of various non-SEC monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and statutory filings
  • Assist with the preparation of interim and annual SEC filings (i.e., 10-Ks, 10-Qs, earnings releases) for Caesars Entertainment and the annual proxy filing as needed
  • Debt accounting
  • Documenting procedures performed as part of internal controls over financial reporting and debt accounting
  • Assisting the internal audit department with documentation and testing of internal controls over financial reporting and debt accounting
  • Assisting external auditors with quarterly review and annual audit procedures related to reports and debt accounting
  • Maintaining a consistent process with effective controls for raising, evaluating and documenting technical issues
  • Performing research on complex accounting issues and preparing formal written documentation of analysis, conclusions, and support for conclusions
  • Remaining current and proactive on new or pending accounting and reporting guidance affecting the company and assisting with the interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Mentoring and training staff accountants or peers
  • Reviewing the work of staff accountants or peers as needed
  • Assisting with or leading special projects, as requested
  • Continuous process improvement within areas of responsibility or assisting other departments with improvement projects


We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player with the ability to work in an environment with multiple concurrent deadlines. A qualified candidate will also have excellent communication (written and oral) and critical-thinking skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams composed of various levels of personnel across the organization. To be qualified for this position, you should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 3-4 years prior experience, preferably including experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, focusing on publicly-traded entities, or comparable non-public experience
  • 2 years management experience preferred
  • Understanding of XBRL reporting requirement
  • Experience with the preparation of SEC filings and other financial statements
  • Experience with researching and writing technical accounting position papers
  • Experience reading and interpreting US GAAP accounting literature
  • Experience with debt accounting preferred
  • Experience with consolidated financial statements
  • Experience with Oracle GL (general ledger) and Hyperion Financial Management (reporting) preferred
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using Workiva for preparation and filing of financial statements or other similar software application preferred
