SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, DIGITAL

RALLY is seeking a Senior Digital Account Executive to join our digital team. The Senior Digital Account Executive is responsible for providing support to RALLY client project team members in the strategic development and implementation of clients’ digital projects. Each client project team works with a unique RALLY team that (generally) consists of two to four RALLYers, an account lead, and a principal. Each RALLYer works on several project teams at a time with a unique client mix. 

Senior Digital Account Executives should be passionate about using digital strategies and tactics to drive issue advocacy campaigns forward. Executives are fully integrated into account teams and are expected to think creatively and independently and take ownership of assigned projects. Primary responsibilities include research, content creation, digital analytics reporting, social media management, and administrative tasks. Senior Digital Account Executives are also exposed to a wide variety of tasks and issue areas beyond their primary responsibilities.

No two days at RALLY are the same, but your day might start by prepping for an upcoming client presentation before developing creative concepts for a new digital campaign. Another day may include reporting performance analytics for a recently launched campaign, running a digital audit for a new client, and working out the digital components for a new business proposal in a short turnaround time. A different account may need you to help develop an email acquisition strategy, train junior staff how to use a new platform, or provide feedback on social media content. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on account teams for multiple clients, including leading more complex digital projects with the support of the account lead
  • Anticipate client needs, as well as internal team needs on a daily basis
  • Provide strategic support and day-to-day supervision for smaller client accounts, including Digital Account Associate and Digital Fellow supervision and oversight of work product quality
  • Lead the development of digital campaign plans for awareness, persuasion, community building, and mobilization
  • Lead on campaign implementation and management in regard to list-building, email marketing, community management, and content creation, etc, to achieve clients’ goals for diverse audiences, including the general public, media, political decision-makers, and other stakeholders
  • Lead the development of digital content strategy, support progress towards key metrics and broader campaign goals, and implement forward-thinking branding, messaging and communications plans via digital channels 
  • Develop campaign content calendars and coordinate with the account teams to manage web, social media, and email content production and publishing
  • Communicate regularly with clients on status, timeline, budget, deliverables, campaign performance, and competitive intelligence analysis
  • Manage third-party vendors, including website development, freelance designers, advertisers, and video production teams
  • Help build client capacity and internal staff development through training on digital tools
  • Support business development, draft proposals, participate in pitch meetings, and write scopes
  • Mentor and train junior staff (Digital Account Associates, Digital Fellows) and commit to their growth
  • Monitor digital and cultural trends, current events, and mobilization opportunities across accounts
  • Attend regular staff, team, and client meetings, and providing input and feedback on business improvement, including the craft of client service, staff development, and office procedures
  • Contribute to strategic growth and brand positioning for the firm overall

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three-five years of experience in digital communications or marketing with a preference for experience at a firm/agency, foundation/association, or in an electoral campaign
  • Three or more years of experience working with clients, managing teams, leading creative project implementation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills and proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving and collaborative agency environment
  • Strong understanding of digital concepts and tactics, including content creation and implementation of full-funnel digital mobilization, acquisition and persuasion initiatives.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing metrics and analytics for organic and paid campaigns in Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X/Twitter, email/CRM platforms, Google, LinkedIn , TikTok, and more
  • Experience writing and drafting action-based emails, organic and paid social media content, managing channels and calls to action
  • Experience in influencer marketing, digital capacity building (training), and/or coalition management
  • Experience in the issue advocacy space and using digital communications to advance progressive issues
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Google Workspace, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, and a working knowledge of other web-based tools and platforms
  • Experience managing and executing ad operations on digital platforms
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage project workflow, juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Innovative and solutions-oriented mindset

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Intellectual curiosity, high emotional intelligence, and sense of humor
