JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Poker Supervisor, the Poker Clerk is responsible for providing legendary guest service. This person is responsible for data input and various clerical functions of the Poker Room along with seating guests. The position requires strong attention to detail.

KEY JOBFUNCTIONS:

  • Entering player ratings. Maintain markers and dockets, including buybacks, transfers and voids.
  • Assisting Supervisors with markers, fills, credits and various duties as time allows.
  • Assist in seating and maintaining waiting lists.
  • Entering information for new players and retrieving Total Rewards cards from the Total Rewards Center.
  • Changing printer ribbons.
  • Answering pit telephones. Ensuring all pits are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Filing and organization of entered rating slips.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum one-year computer experience required.
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must know how to operate computer and ten key adding machines.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be21 years of age.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around assigned table in the Pit department during entire shift, with regular interval breaks.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast pace environment.
  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to memorize game rules and procedures.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money.
  • Must be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in as mall area.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
