JOB TITLE: Assistant Media Planner
PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY:
An Assistant Media Planner assists in the development and execution of integrated media plans (both traditional and digital media) under the direction of a Media Supervisor or Associate Media Director.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
o Work closely with the all team members to gain client approval for strategy.
o Maintain budget updates and spreadsheets.
o Maintain flowcharts and plans.
o Competitive analyses.
o Write POV’s.
o Assist in management of ongoing budget tracking and reporting.
o Resolve discrepancies.
o Communicate and work with publishing partners to develop effective media solutions that deliver client objectives.
o Proficient with media research tools: DDS/Mediaocean, IMS, Kanter, Comscore, PRISMA, Media Tools, etc.
o Basic knowledge of media terminology and applications.
o Keep up with industry trends.
o Participate in media training sessions.
