About the team: As part of ALM’s global newsroom, the business of law team is focused on covering the news, trends and issues involving the largest law firms in the world. We’re focused on delivering breaking news, analysis and features that impact large and midsize firms’ business, such as mergers, staffing issues, geographic expansion, management and compensation. You’ll be writing for such notable publications as The Daily Business Review, The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, the New York Law Journal and others.
ALM, publisher of the American Lawyer, the National Law Journal and other award-winning national, international and regional publications, seeks an experienced full-time reporter to cover law firms and the challenges and changes affecting the business of law in Florida and write primarily for the Daily Business Review in Miami.
We’re looking for someone who is ready to break news, deliver analysis and develop features on issues that impact law firms’ business, such as competition for talent, geographic expansion, management and compensation. The ideal candidate is smart, energetic, a great writer, and eager to be part of ALM’s digital-first global newsroom. The candidate must be capable of writing quick, breaking news stories, as well as deeper enterprise pieces. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the legal industry, although applications from journalists who have shown themselves to be a quick study in other areas of business reporting are welcome. Recent grads are also welcome.
