Position Purpose & Summary

The technical sales manager implements commercial actions defined in order to reach budgeted financial goals. The business manager is also the key contact, on day to day basis, between the customer and the company.

Principal Accountabilities

75% Account management and development

  • To promote and to market Provimi products range to feedmilers and distributors/ retailers. May have a specific focus on nutritional products for Ruminant, swine and poultry species.
  • To manage commercial follow-up of existing customers by supporting customers sales & technical teams
  • To coordinate actions of Cargill technical support services provided to the customers (marketing, species specialists)
  • To develop new business with prospects

25% Admin Report & internal relations

  • To lead commercial offer to customers and make sure about customers and prospects solvency
  • To manage market studies requested by Commercial Lead, to be aware of market change : customers, competition and prospects
  • To complete annual budget process : to use internal tools (key account plan) and finance reports to monitor the performance (volume and margin)
  • To contribute to marketing activities : feedback on products benefits, product presentation and communication

Qualifications

  • MSc Animal Nutrition ideally
  • Technical and sales background required
  • Fundamentals of animal nutrition & health: physiology, farm management…
  • Key account planning
  • Effective communication : customer sales team follow-up
  • Prospecting, negotiation and closing skills
  • Office softwares
  • Fluent in English
  • People driven 
  • Communication abilities and interpersonal skills

  • Availability to travel
  • Autonomy and rigor
