Overview

The Senior Manager, FP&A will play a pivotal role in building a world-class financial planning and analysis function. This position will report to the SVP, FP&A and will help to drive strategic financial initiatives to support our high-growth environment.

This position requires you to be on site at our HQ in Mclean, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively use technology to coordinate the management of financial data and definitions to enable improved transparency and understanding of results and business trends.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and analytics using BI tools to provide key insights and foster data-driven decision-making across the organization for standard financial information coordinating with operating and finance groups.
  • Ongoing business/investment decision support through pro-forma creation, ROI analysis, sensitivity analysis, valuation, etc.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models, ensuring they accurately reflect business drives and assumptions.
  • Partner with operational leads and leverage financial expertise to drive strategic decisions and provide actionable recommendations to business partners.
  • Provides real time updates on performance, implications, and recommended actions.
  • Create materials/decks/PPTs for the Executive Committee, Board, and Audit Committee, including providing financial analysis and commentary.
  • Support the development of strategic plans and initiatives, offering financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential outcomes and scenarios with our fast-paced, high growth environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Advance degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in FP&A or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis and insights in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining dashboards and analytics using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with scripting/automation to programmer level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to understand and work with complex financial models and data sets.
  • Ability to structure a resilient, automated reporting infrastructure.
  • Innovate whilst bringing in new ideas.
  • Experience with SQL, Alteryx, VBA, NetSuite and/or other financial analytical tools.
  • Experience with large data sets and ability to transform data into information and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modeling software are required. Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Enterprise change management.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team with a passion for building and improving processes.
  • A proactive mindset and a desire to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing company.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage one's own individual projects.
  • Present oneself in a professional manner and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts.
  • Must have an outside interest in technology.
