The Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing all inventory and information flows from the supplier through finished product. This involves coordinating the activities of suppliers, manufacturing, quality and other departments in a fast paced, high volume unionized manufacturing environment. The Inventory Analyst is responsible for closely monitoring actions that affect inventory levels while coordinating daily activities that continuously improve inventory flow and inventory levels. This can be accomplished through a variety of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), flow analysis, float reviews, etc.

The Inventory Analysts is considered the process owner for their assigned function as it relates to supplier communication, material flow and inventory management and therefore is responsible for all metrics relative to these inventory areas. The Inventory Analyst will be required to initiate a significant number of Kaizens as well as work on and develop highly functioning teams to achieve required metrics. The Inventory Analyst must be able to make tough calls, act quickly and decisively while holding themselves and others accountable.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage processes in a business- like manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and make quick decisions supported with data
  • Competency in Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualified:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business a plus
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
  • Experience working with individuals from different organizations and levels on Kaizen and continuous improvement activities
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Background in LEAN manufacturing systems
