DESCRIPTION

The Business Division at Marymount Manhattan College seeks applications for a Visiting Instructor/ Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing (with a focus on Entertainment) beginning fall 2024, pending final budget approval. This is a one-year appointment (with possibility of renewal) with a 4/4 teaching load.

Required Qualifications:

  • An MBA or a Master’s degree in Marketing/ Management/Business is required. A terminal degree with a Ph.D., DBA, JD or ABD in Marketing/Management/Business is desired.
  • Candidates with requisite teaching and scholarly experience who are on track to complete a doctorate will be considered for appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor; others will be appointed at the rank of Visiting Instructor.
  • Ability to teach courses in entertainment marketing, marketing and branding for entertainment, case analysis in entertainment business, digital marketing, social media marketing, artificial intelligence & the entertainment industry, in addition to some combination of the following: entrepreneurship, public relations, advertising, intro to business, business and society, economics, consumer behavior, strategic marketing, or international marketing.
  • Expertise to help students earn Google Ad Words and Hubspot InBound certifications.
  • Documents demonstrating work authorization will be required upon employment.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching classes, scholarly work, advising students, and divisional and college service.

$68,000.00 – $71,000.00 per year
