About this opportunity 

Align Technology is looking for an Associate Director - Remote Monitoring/Telehealth to lead the global commercialization of Invisalign Virtual Care AI, Align’s customer and patient facing digital remote monitoring service. From business strategy, concept generation and opportunity assessment, through elicitation of customer requirements to ultimate global launch and post-launch tracking the Associate Director will serve as Marketing and Commercialization lead throughout the product lifecycle. High visibility role that requires critical and novel thinking to advance Align’s position in the rapidly evolving telehealth space and ability to rally the organization from the ground up toward a common vision.

In this role, you will… 

  • Partner with upstream Product Management to create a multi-year strategic product roadmap with focus on customer adoption and revenue growth, drive alignment on strategy across all stakeholders within the organization.
  • Determine and prioritize key unmet needs and opportunities by driving VoC and developing formal KOL Advisory Boards and informal customer and field relationships.
  • Identify and predict strategic competitive developments and market direction by developing a deep proficiency of clinical, customer and consumer space.
  • Develop comprehensive global launch plans with input from partner Product Marketing teams, Regional Marketing, Marcomm, Education, Clinical, Sales Leadership, Operations, Finance etc. Assess and maximize revenue opportunities via detailed execution plan addressing adoption, forecast, marketing programs, internal and external training and sales incentives.
  • Drive development of product positioning, impactful messaging that resonates with both customers and sales force, field assets to enable conversions, conference presence and planning to maximize exposure, Public Relations and Investor Relations initiatives.
  • Lead the execution and tracking of all global launch activities, serve as primary contact for the field, ensure and drive adherence to preset KPIs, report on progress to Marketing and Executive leadership.
  • Mentor and develop junior Product Marketing Managers; coach new hires during and after their onboarding process, contribute to maintaining and advancing key team talent.

In this role, you’ll need … 

  • A minimum 10 years of experience and progression in the Medtech, or Med Device field; including 5+ years in a Product Marketing role. Demonstrated experience in conceiving, developing and launching digital and/or connected products on a global scale.
  • BS or BA in Business, Engineering, Science or related discipline required. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong drive that can work independently, apply sound judgment and analytical abilities, to accomplish short and long-range projects, anticipate likely needs, and recommend actions with minimal direction.
  • Strong engagement with customers and sales force, ability to leverage and apply marketing/financial rigor and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence decision-making and action across the organization (R&D, Program Management, Operations, Clinical, Education, Marcomm, Regional Marketing, Sales Leadership etc) and influence others independent of reporting structure.
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams, and confidently present and support ideas and strategies with C-suite executives and customers.

Work Schedule/Hours

  • Regular business hours in San Jose with up to 40% travel, both nationally and internationally

Primary Location Base Salary Range: $192,500 to $221,900 USD

Base salary ranges are a guideline used to determine appropriate pay. Placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. For field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable commission plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
