Zendesk is looking for an experienced and passionate Public Relations & Communications Specialist to join our LATAM PR & Communications team, based in Mexico City and reporting to the PR & Communications Manager LATAM (dotted line to the Global PR/Communications).

This person will turn trends in business software and customer experience into compelling industry and general interest stories. This seasoned Communicator will coordinate and conduct Zendesk’s corporate and brand communications activities, and develop and lead public relations campaigns related to corporate announcements, original material and research, and industry partnerships and initiatives.

The professional will also be responsible for developing corporate and business content to support Zendesk’s positioning in the region.

Responsabilities

  • Develop and coordinate corporate communications processes and certification for employees, spokespeople and speakers, and run training program and calendar of activities
  • Work closely with executives, content marketing and creative to develop thought leadership themes and content that solidify the Zendesk brand
  • Help craft and handle a thought leadership platform, across media, speaking and contributed content, which solidifies Zendesk’s role as a customer service leader
  • Lead PR for product launches, shaping newsworthy content and growing it into a trusted media resources
  • Collaborate with content marketing to turn original content and research into newsworthy PR campaigns and contributions
  • Handle PR for new and ongoing business partnerships, coordinating with business development, product marketing and partner contacts and devising communications strategy
  • Build relationships with relevant media, analysts and event managers
  • Prepare and train company executives and spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements, and offer constructive feedback
  • Write and edit statements, press releases, contributed stories, presentations and other PR & Communications’ materials
  • Track technology and customer service trends to inform Zendesk’s communications strategy

Qualification

  • Proven media, analyst and event manager relationships
  • Track record of flawlessly executing on corporate communications, thought leadership campaigns and partner PR programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English, with a knack for turning internal content into eye-catching pitches and contributed articles
  • A precise grammarian and expert at AP style (writing samples required)
  • Outstanding interpersonal, project management and prioritization skills
  • Unfazed by constant change
  • A collaborative, open attitude and a history of working in and leading cross-functional teams
  • An eye for simplifying complex topics and technologies to their essence
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of tech PR experience. B2B not mandatory, but a mix of in-house SaaS Enterprise software or IT and agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications and related
  • Spanish and English fluency required
