An overview of the role:

As a Demand Forecasting Consultant, you will become a key Member of our Intelligent Industry Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to work across sectors and industries, but your specific capability expertise will be in demand forecasting. You will work with market-leading clients, applying cutting-edge technologies to solve impactful demand forecasting problems. Your expertise in demand forecasting, data analytics and consulting skills will drive bottom-line growth for our clients by optimising demand and supply planning, forecasting, inventory optimisation, and operational efficiency.

Imagine starting your day by collaborating with our clients, helping them harness the power of data and become truly data-driven enterprises. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and emerging technologies to tackle complex forecasting challenges head-on.

Leading data-driven projects and transformations, you'll dive deep into supply chain or energy supply processes, such as demand and supply planning, forecasting, inventory and cost analysis. Your analytical skills will enable you to translate data into actionable business insights, empowering clients to enhance growth and operational efficiency.

But your role doesn't end with data analysis alone. You will play a pivotal consulting role: for example, facilitating workshops, managing workstreams, delivering impactful communications to our clients, providing recommendations on their future, providing training and support on new capabilities. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, you'll collaborate closely to understand their needs, address challenges, and achieve successful outcomes.

Fuelling your passion for continuous learning, you'll stay ahead of industry trends, constantly exploring advancements in demand forecasting and technology. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our leadership initiatives and the development of innovative analytics and AI products and services. Together, we'll address sustainability challenges, combat climate change, and champion active inclusion.

As a Consultant/ Senior Consultant in the business you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations from this role include:

We’d love to meet someone with:

  • Proven professional experience in demand forecasting roles, such as demand forecasting analyst, data scientist or researcher. Preferably either in industries such as Consumer Products and Retail, MALS (Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences), Energy & Utilities, Consulting, or Academia. 
  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and provide business recommendations.
  • Experience with data analytics, data visualisation, and AI tools.
  • Familiarity with project management and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree in Mathematics, STEM, or a supply chain-related field.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Currently working in a Consulting firm, industry, or on a PhD project.
