Summary

Assist with the coordination and posting of content to social media Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and any emerging social media platforms. Brainstorm fun new ways to creatively engage and build department's social media community. Craft grammatically correct, well-worded and engaging posts for all social media platforms. Communicate with staff to gather information about events and news. 

Responsibilities*

Gather relevant audio, video, photo content from Music student life, faculty, rehearsals, concerts, campus, Music events, NAfME, Alumni and post to social media.

Specific duties include:

  • Submit three posts/week at minimum to Facebook, Instagram, others
  • Develop two 1-3 min video pieces each term
  • Content release approval for posts required from full-time faculty

Required Qualifications*

  • Prior audio, video, photo, web program, graphic design experience
  • Basic experience in audio and video editing
  • Music experience
  • UM-Flint Student 

Desired Qualifications*

  • Music major/minor preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Dependable 
  • Creative 
  • Professional

Work Schedule

  • Autonomous/asynchronous
