Description

The Tech Marketing Recruiting Program Manager, under the general supervision of the Director of Brand & Communications, in partnership with both the Tech Recruitment Manager and VP of Talent Planning & Acquisition, will help drive awareness of the Zulily brand among tech workers. This role will be instrumental in building consideration and differentiation to influence conversion of prospective candidates to Zulily Tech, helping communicate Zulily as a place where employees feel respected, demonstrate work/life balance while doing meaningful, impactful work.


Key Accountabilities

  • Oversight of all programming driving tech brand awareness to potential technical talent.

  • Leverage Zulily's multi-year sponsorship of Sounders FC and Reign FC, Western Washington's two professional soccer teams, to borrow brand equity and halo with tech workforce captive audience.

  • Serve as a bridge between marketing/recruiting to unify messaging and maximize efficiency.

  • Create and maintain a robust, consistent employee brand (tech) organic presence on digital channels with recruitment output, such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Twitter, leveraging both organic and paid means to increase followership and engagement.

  • Create a scalable approach to events at the community/local, university and national levels.

  • Build relationships with key partners at the local/community and national level (such as open source groups, civic training programs, social media platforms etc.).

  • Craft clear process on employee training of advocates and ambassadors that ca be authentic, credible voices of the brand.

  • Collaborate with PR team on awards, speaking opportunities, recruitment activities at conferences and earned media opportunities to reinforce tech brand positive messaging.

  • Refine and promote a Zulily tech employee brand through surgical messaging, leverage of various assets, program management and drumbeat of content creation and community outreach.

  • Owns project management of assigned events and programs driving collaboration and communication with Internal Communications (including events coordinator), External Communications, Brand and People team to ensure flawless execution.

  • Propose new ideas to improve the recruitment marketing process.

  • Responsible to track and communicate feedback received from recruitment programs.

  • Tracks key metrics and generates timely and accurate reports. Success to be measured on creation of effecting marketing recruitment programs for tech.

  • Assist with administrative and other duties as related to program implementation.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years relevant experience

  • High school diploma / GED; Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Excellent working knowledge and ability in MS Office computer packages

  • Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with management, staff, vendors and clients at all levels

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes events with weekend and/or early morning and evenings.

  • Ability to travel for conferences/recruitment activities (10-20% of role)

  • Ability to coordinate a number of activities with multiple components requiring independent follow through and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable and flexible in a multi-task environment with frequent interruptions and short deadlines, and sometimes a high degree of pressure.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Maintain a view of the overall business situation when making decisions

  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism

  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision

  • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality

  • Familiar with recruitment/retention standards and norms in tech/startups
