About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Manager as part of the Asset Transfers team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This team is responsible for ACAT and non-ACAT transfers going out, as well as, timely delivery of assets. This manager will be responsible for leading the team and ensuring that risk and compliance initiatives around asset transfers are met. As the Operations Manager, you will also be responsible for risk analysis and control gap mediation with the asset transfer space.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop one or more asset transfer functional teams within Operations area with moderately complex initiatives and risk in the functional area
  • Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
  • Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced management
  • Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with the ACATS (Automated Customer Account Transfer Service) System
  • 2+ years experience working within the securities industry
  • 2+ years experience with BETA, SmartStation and BPM
  • Ability to develop and negotiate solutions to issues with partners or clients including escalations as needed
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Successfully completed FINRA SIE and Series 99
  • BA/BS degree or higher in business or finance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for FINRA Series 99 and SIE must be completed within 120 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position
