TITLE: Senior Financial Analyst (Michael Kors USA, Inc., 11 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036)

DUTIES: Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy and conformance with procedures and regulations. Analyze budgeting and accounting reports. Responsible for supporting the retail store divisions with budgeting, forecasting and other adhoc store KPI analysis. Manage US & CA retail store P&L and capital expenditures, including the preparation of financial budgets, monthly forecasts, and reporting. Partner with accounting team on month end journal entries and accruals as well as investigate general ledger entries to ensure proper coding. Analyze US & CA retail store P&L and provide commentary on variances against budget, prior forecast, and LY results. Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and increase profitability across the retail store divisions. Work on miscellaneous ad hoc reports and requests for senior executives, as needed. Prepare quarter end reporting including earnings release preparation and Board of Director presentations. Prepare and distribute store financials to Regional Directors and District Managers on a monthly basis. Prepare quarterly cash flow projections analysis to determine store impairment status. Lead monthly close and forecast calls with head of finance, accounting, and operations. Manage store projects and provide hindsight ROI analysis on renovations. Prepare payroll KPI analysis and provide insight on expense savings opportunities and efficiencies in payroll projections. Lead store team in forecast, close and budget process, ensuring the projections and actuals are accurate and complete, and little to no error. Prepare and distribute quarterly financial packet to field team and present financials during quarterly meetings. 

Position is fixed based in New York City, NY office; However, telecommuting from a home office location may be allowed.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Financial Analyst, or related occupation. Must have two (2) years of experience in the following: 1) Management of revenue and expenses in profit and loss; 2) Recording or reviewing journal entry accruals and reclasses; 3) Working with US GAAP standards and procedures; and 4) Analyzing business KPI data. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. EOE.

SALARY: $87,110 - $125,000 per year
