Nokia is accelerating in the support to vertical markets and industry with additional Technical Sales resources.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Sales Europe, the candidate will bring technical knowledge and sales skills to provide guidance and support to the Sales teams in the target geography. Technical Sales and Account Team will maintain excellent relationships with the existing customer base and help develop a pipeline of new customer opportunities.
The Technical Sales Specialist will act as the CTO for several customers or segments.
Generalist technical leadership at country level
Develop awareness and buy-in of new solutions for existing customers;
Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximize client potential
Support customer visits and organize workshops with customer technical staff
Identify product gaps, and drive solution organisation to develop new features or products to maximize market relevance
Develop long-term relationships with clients
Anticipation of new tenders, establish a dialog with customers to help maximize value of Nokia solutions for them
Act as end-to-end solution architect for key projects:
The Technical Sales specialist will make sure the Sales teams are always up-to-date on new solutions to sell and innovation developed by Nokia that are relevant for TEPS, including through trainings, seminars, participation to customer workshops.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong technical skills: in IP, wireless, cloud/SDN, applications/IoT, to understand the specifics of customer requirements, analyse them and recommend appropriate solutions. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate an ability and motivation to expand one’s own technical and professional knowledge while keeping up-to-date on the latest advances in Customers' industries: knowledge of, and insight into general business principles and practices of the targeted market segments. In this respect, a hands-on experience of a key segment (transportation, energy, public sector) is a plus.
Sales skills: The candidate needs to be able to manage, articulate and support the sales activity. As with any sales professional, technical sales need strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing. The candidate must be persuasive in his presentations and persistent in pursuing leads. This goes together with a willingness to help and serve others and meet their needs whether they be internal or external customers - this being key to build long-term relationships with clients and peers.
