Deep Learning Applied Scientist - AI Applications

NVIDIA

We are now looking for a Deep Learning Applied Scientist - AI Applications.

Are you excited to supercharge the way people integrate intelligence into products and services? NVIDIA's technology is at the heart of this rapidly changing new world, touching people across the planet by powering everything from autonomous cars to voice-powered intelligent assistants. Join an ambitious team that is looking beyond the current landscape of Deep Learning algorithms and tools and asking the fundamental question: "How should people build AI systems?" Our goal is to radically expand the reach of AI into new areas - healthcare, scientific research, government, finance, consumer products.

We are seeking researcher staff to contribute to this meaningful and important effort. We collaborate with internal research and product teams, as well as external researchers, to advance the state-of-the-art in NLP, Speech, and Recommender Systems. In everything we do, we strive to achieve phenomenal computational performance by working with the latest hardware and most advanced software optimization techniques.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and prototype new Deep Learning models and training algorithms for speech recognition, speech synthesis, NLP, and recommender systems
  • Transfer your technology to NVIDIA’s software product teams.  We also frequently release our work as open source
  • Collaborate with DL & AI Researchers in leading universities and industrial research labs
  • Publish your original research. Present to conferences and customers.

What we need to see:

  • Possess a Master’s degree, PhD, or have equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or related field
  • 4+ years of related technical experience
  • Advanced understanding of Deep Learning with applications in Speech, NLP, or Recommender Systems, with a strong track record of publications or significant product contributions in these areas
  • You have a strong mathematical background, especially in the optimization theory, stochastic algorithms, and/or numerical methods with a passion for solving hard math problems
  • Strong C++ and Python programming skills and experience with Tensorflow or PyTorch
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, product oriented, global team. Your history of mentoring other engineers and interns is a huge plus.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Previous product development experience, with your work appearing in commercial software products or major open source projects.
  • Systems software engineering knowledge and expertise in optimizing software for computational performance.

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of technology’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working with us. Are you creative and autonomous? Does the idea of turning ground breaking research into a shipping product excite you? If so, we want to hear from you!
