A Hybrid working model

Department Summary

Hogarth Post Production department based at Sea Containers is there to service as an in house post facility for all WPP companies within the SC building and beyond. We offer end to end post which includes edit, audio, animation and grade. We can work on any briefs from any clients from case studies, pitch, mood and sizzle films all the way to broadcast TV commercials.

What does a Lead Creative Editor do at Hogarth?

Hogarth is seeking an experienced Lead Creative Editor with a strong technical background to work within our busy in house post-production department. You will also have strong client facing and line management experience to inspire and strengthen the department. The ideal candidate will have an advanced working knowledge of Premier and AFX.

Primary duties will be editing of all moving image which range from TVC’s - UK and international markets but will have a main focus on internal content which will include pitch work, mood films, sizzle reels, case studies and social films.

Having an understanding of the Post-Production process and maintaining an efficient and cost-effective service to the client is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the head of editing, to oversea the edit department. Dealing with workflows, creative and managing edit staff.
  • Develop solutions for agency clients, producers, creatives, project managers and account teams
  • Make sure that the assigned projects to the dept are produced to a very high creative standard, delivered on time and within the agreed budget.
  • General day-to-day editing, for all types of agency work including pitch films, mood reels, animatics, offline and online TVCs for broadcast, social media videos, DOOH and case studies.
  • Expressing and sharing constructive feedback with all levels of client and agency personnel
  • Advising on client specific information, such as brand information, logos, fonts and notes of guidance
  • Combines both creative skills with technical know-how
  • Advising producers and post producers with information on post production pipeline to ensure we deliver a professional and accurate quote so that projects are brought in on time and within budgeted parameters

This role reports to the Head of Creative Editing at Sea Containers.

Requirements

  • Experience working with numerous post houses/production companies
  • Exceptional Adobe Premiere skills
  • Strong Adobe After Effects skills
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A strong comprehensive showreel demonstrating the above skills
  • Strong story telling skills in Premiere
  • Advanced skills in motion Graphic Design
  • Experience working directly with creatives / clients / directors
  • A critical eye, with a real attention to detail for the craft
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to give feedback
  • Outstanding Knowledge of broadcast formats
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with both clients and staff
  • Ability to mentor more junior members of the team
