Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop aerospace products, systems, and components using CAD software.
  • Conduct research and analysis to determine feasibility, design, operation, and performance of aerospace systems.
  • Inspection and repair markups to provide guidance for structural analysis of the repairs.
  • Assist in creating technical documents that will provide engineering requirements for designs and repairs.
  • Familiarity with typical repair and manufacturing processes including welding, brazing, riveting, and coating processes. Plasma Spray a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements, industry regulations, and company standards.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
  • Review and Lead Design Engineers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or UG/NX).
  • ANSYS Workbench experience a plus.
  • Teamcenter experience.
  • Technical writing and documentation.
  • Reading technical prints per ASME Y14.5 GD&T Standard.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Microsoft skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
