Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A

Ecolab has an opening for a division FP&A Senior Financial Analyst at Nalco Water, located in Naperville, IL.   This role is high profile and interacts regularly with the division finance and commercial leadership teams, as well as various functional groups, including, but not limited to, controllership, supply chain, procurement, marketing, human resources, and R&D.  This position will have the opportunity to lead division strategic business planning and annual planning processes, support monthly business reviews, drive deep level financial analysis and ultimately improve forecast accuracy.

What You Will Do:

  • Support monthly close, journal entries and various analysis across all P&L line items
  • Support monthly forecast process by synthesizing insights gleaned from business drivers
  • Support monthly executive business reviews
  • Analyze margin performance, leveraging data from SAP and EPM, as well as business knowledge from the commercial team
  • Review and track sales performance at sales district, customer and product levels under different billing arrangements
  • Support FP&A in building a story around margin showing drivers including price, volume, mix, and other factors, ultimately leveraged in actuals explanation and forecast development
  • Provide deep dive analysis on fixed billing and its impact on margin
  • Closely track DSO and past due and drive collections
  • Continuous improvement on the tasks mentioned above
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • SAP experience (or similar ERP platform)
  • Experience in Hyperion, EPM, or similar financial reporting tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain business relationships
