Role and Responsibilities:
Defines and executes validation test methods and test plans for system level test, circuit marginality, and/or product platform validation (PPV) to ensure testability and manufacturability of Intel products. Drives test planning, execution, data analysis, builds automation and regression scripts, and creates automated verification flows. Understands circuit marginality validation requirements, including process parametric coverage needs within specs, and acts on the marginalities to increase quality such that corrections are put in place to catch the failures. Identifies failure suspects with stress tests and performs debug to root cause issue. Diagnoses and identifies systems issues and designs and validates solutions for complex problems and looks for improvements. Develops and debugs complex test methods and works with software and integration teams to resolve issues and drive quality at the source. Works with architecture, design, and silicon validation teams, process engineering, and volume manufacturing factories to track post-silicon validation efforts and track program readiness. Works with software teams to evaluate integrated system performance and to test and characterize HWSW interaction and device performance at various operating conditions. Develops and executes validation methods and plans for timing and power models for products including FPGA, transceiver, and multichip packages on bench or automatic test equipment. Contributes to the product health indicators (PHI) definition and test whole reduction of defects per million (DPM) for quality. Defines on die thermal requirements including thermal profile characterization. Provides integration and test support and works with developers and other team members to integrate software with existing enterprise services. Defines testing methodologies and solutions to support manufacturing at the platform level. Evaluates, validates, and contributes to new test equipment for platform production and maintains test frameworks and related infrastructure. Creates system validation documentation including risk assessments, validation project plans, user acceptance tests, and reports.
