Position       Quantitative Software Engineer

Location      Montreal, Singapore & London

Job Description

Squarepoint Capital is adding to our team of world class software engineers. Selected individuals will join a highly accomplished team of professionals working directly with quantitative researchers to implement specialized software for research and trading.  Being a part of the technology team, the expectation is to rapidly deliver solutions using existing tools and frameworks then collaborate with peers in technology to mature and evolve the underlying frameworks for wider use. The job involves driving cross-team initiatives and daily interaction with quant researchers and technologists, thus good communication skills are essential.

Candidate Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related subject; Masters or higher a plus
  • 5+ years programming experience under Linux at least 3 years in both C++ (C++11, C++14) and Python
  • Q/kdb+ experience
  • Financial knowledge and basic statistics; advanced quantitative skills a plus, but not essential
  • Modern software engineering paradigms, especially rapid prototyping and fast iterative release cycles.
  • Self-starter: ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies as warranted by projects; balancing tactical work with pursuing long-term strategic objectives.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

  • Grid and cluster tools, especially SLURM
  • Experience in large-scale system design
