The successful candidate will provide functional and technical qualities in Operations Monitoring with Oracle Applications R12, Automic (UC4), and other Enterprise Utilities in a large, global instance environment and in accordance with the policies and procedures defined by Emerson Automation Solutions.



  • Actively monitor and identify continuous improvement on ongoing operational activities in the Oracle Applications eBusiness Suite environment.  This includes responding to dashboard warnings, system/application alerts, and incoming messaging traffic and utilizing various utilities & applications (including Automic / UC4 & Oracle R12 EBS).
  • Proactively drive down error rates by tracking, validating, & reviewing reports of metrics, activities, anomalies, and operational processes.
  • Make recommendations and work closely with System Automation, Archive Operations, & Automic (UC4) teams for improving, reconfiguring, or enhancing monitoring systems, alerts, operation procedures, knowledge base, etc.
  • Quickly identify performance issues or anomalies within a large Oracle Applications environment
  • Support production environments with global monitoring, problem detection, and deterrence options
  • Provide continuous feedback to team leads for frequent anomalies &/or jobs having issues
  • Utilize Automic (UC4) Application to monitor and respond to events with scheduled UC4 processes
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and seek immediate resolution for repeated production issues
  • Interacts with customers & process owners to ensure they receive an exceptional level of service
  • Continually remain aware of and alert on both planned & unplanned maintenance activities
  • Able and willing to work with and through others in a global team & collaborative environment
  • Participate in rotating evening, weekend, and holiday activity as required








  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills (both oral and written)
  • Must be available to work a rotating 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule
  • Minimum 5 months of experience in NOC, Customer Service, Help/Service Desk, &/or IT Operations
  • Minimum 3 months of experience in Oracle 11i or R12 Applications EBS (technical or functional)
  • Minimum 3 months of experience with SQL (PL/SQL a plus)
  • Knowledge of Oracle 10g+ architecture
  • Experience with any phase within Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Oracle technologies
  • Experience with Automic (UC4), Oracle Concurrent Manager or any Enterprise Scheduler is a plus


BS with a technical background (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering)

Additional Comments:

Candidate must be able to work in shifts that will include nights, weekends and holidays on rotational basis.
