We in the RD/CX (UI Concepts - Entertainment Communication & Text Creation) department are responsible for developing holistic concepts for the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience MBUX.

Electromobility, autonomous driving and artificial intelligence are omnipresent and offer you as a UX designer completely new opportunities to give free rein to your creativity. You not only focus on the customer's experience in the vehicle, but also illuminate all facets of their daily life. In addition to classic touch interaction, you can use voice and gesture interaction to create a visionary concept. In addition to the in-vehicle experience, this also includes the seamless integration of wearables, apps and websites to round off the customer's user journey.

You will work in an international network with UX specialists from Sindelfingen, Berlin, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo and beyond.

The close collaboration with designers, engineers and the software development team offers you insights into many exciting areas.

For this demanding/challenging and exciting area of responsibility, we are looking for you as an intern in the Mercedes-Benz User Experience User Interface Concepts department.

These are some of the challenges you will face

  • Development of new, intuitive UX concepts
  • Creation of click prototypes
  • Testing and analyzing concept ideas
  • Coordinating and implementing new functions
  • Designing and developing decision templates

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in interaction design, information design, human-computer interaction, media informatics, psychology, communication design or a comparable course of study with a focus on usability, user experience or user interface design
  • Confident written and spoken German and English skills
  • Proficient skills in the use of common design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Flinto, ProtoPie, Figma or Adobe xD
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe CC programs, MacOS applications and Microsoft Office
  • Commitment and ability to work in a team
  • Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
  • Creativity
