Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager

The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of accounts payable and accounts receivable administrators, providing support to multiple locations including Corporate, interacting with procurement, suppliers, sales, customers, IT, and accounting personnel to work through various issues, and ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements This position and related activities will require interfacing with all levels of corporate and performance center personnel on a regular basis.

Job Summary

  • Lead, manage and develop accounts payable and accounts receivable administrators and related transactions and reporting. Accounts payable administrator duties include invoice processing, matching or routing for approval, payment processing, and reporting. Accounts receivable administrator duties include invoice processing, cash application, and reporting.
  • Establish and monitor weekly process metrics.
  • Continuously assess processes to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate company-wide accounts payable and accounts receivable initiatives and deliverables.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Research supplier statements and accounts payable discrepancies, as needed.
  • Research customer statements and accounts receivable discrepancies, as needed.
  • Review and/or prepare month end account accruals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and file Form 1099s.
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain effective internal controls in accordance with SOX 404 requirements.
  • Lead and/or participate in various special projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Supervision of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable employees.
  • Hands on experience working with automated financial transactions associated with an ERP system (Baan system experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of internal controls and SOX 404 requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of six years of relevant accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience, including at least three years of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience with automated financial transactions associated with an ERP system (Baan system experience is a plus)..
  • Experience with manufacturing-based companies is preferred.

Base Compensation: USD 105,000.00 - 120,000.00 Paid Salaried
