The import specialist takes responsibility for owned files in accordance with the "one file one operator" principle. These responsibilities are on door to door basis and include coordinating pick up, handling, export clearance and carrier booking with DGF origin office, following flight status and document handover at destination, managing door delivery processes, creating / controlling the cost and revenue items of the file. Also tracks customer quotation requests and prepares customer quotations. She/he is responsible for GP growth and optimization.

  • Follows files on Hawb level
  • Manages shipment organization with related DGF office/agent (pick up, cargo and documentation handling, export clearance, carrier booking)
  • Follows flight performance and resolves carrier irregularities with related DGF office 
  • Coordinates with airport offices for documents handover 
  • Prepares, controls and distributes all required Import documents & data to DGF offices, airlines and other 3rd parties
  • Initiates door delivery operation within Turkey
  • Creates cost and revenue items of owned file
  • Creates customer invoices and being responsible that cost and revenue are realized correctly 
  • Responsible for KPIs of import file acceptance, OTC check, booking & shipment status information to consignee, accrual & WIP creation timeliness and completeness, billing milestone.
  • Responsible for KPIs of Sick Files, Unbilled overdue files, revenue leakage, Auto-Rating and Auto-Costing including individual global/local regulations 
  • Responsible for GP growth and optimization at file level
  • Checks own sick files including GPS analysis and takes actions for resolution
  • Creates all customer quotations in QuoteShop and follows up with customers to maximize the sales
  • Responsible for business development by owned farming accounts
  • Interacts with customers on the phone or personally as applicable
  • Ensures the proper implementation of customer and collaborates with all stakeholders to provide successful business launch
  • Complies with regulations and internal procedures
  • Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring flawless services including shipment visibility, customer reporting, irregularity & claim management and KPI measurement for the best customer experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Airfreight Import operations
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good commercial and financial mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be fluent in English
  • Can-do spirit and pragmatic thinker with level of detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Self-confident and ability to maintain strong relationships
  • Should possess a university degree
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to work with flexible working hours
