Business Unit and Position Summary:

Our aim is to build a platform for the sales to build on and to create consistent new product introductions, branding and public relations programs linking all regions and business areas together, representing ONE company, and featuring multiple strong brands in the global marketplace.

Function of the Marketing Communication Specialist

To support Director Marketing Communications in coordination of campaigns, promotions, new product introductions, development of communications materials, white papers (sales and technical) including translations; to support marketing communications initiatives; to assist sales; to build stronger customer relations and serve as an ‘ambassador’ for CRANE in all external and internal relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Development of highly effective, original and targeted marketing copy (documents that flow together seamlessly and are consistent in approach, content coverage and level of detail) for the promotion and sale of Crane products
  • Social media campaigns development and support
  • Assist in development of company newsletters, technical papers, profiles, sales proposals, etc.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, MarCom Director and Graphic Designers to develop effective sales collateral --prepare ads, catalogs, user manuals and guides, technical help books, online help documents and other reports
  • Support other departments by writing & editing creative materials for promotions, direct marketing (email, newsletter), advertisements as well as website content, etc.
  • Assimilate and structure information into creative, stimulating, “user-friendly” formats.
  • Organize ideas and work at translating any technical language or jargon into text that the average reader can understand
  • Manage Brand Crane platform and apply and communicate Crane branding standards
  • Assist with development of digital media campaigns, and on-line marketing programs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Communications, PR or similar
  • 2-5 years relevant work experience within a corporate or an agency environment 
  • Proficient in English including meticulous attention to grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Ability to present information clearly in written form
  • The ability to devise suitable headings within a variety of document types
  • The ability to interpret discussions, analyze, categorize, structure and present information in writing
  • Computer literate. Must be familiar with Microsoft software, email and the internet
  • Effective writing (promotional and technical)
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Planning and organizing, attention to detail
  • Results driven

  • Able to use Adobe Suite software/ willing to learn
