Director, Marketing - Aftermath

As the Director of Marketing, you'll have the opportunity to develop and lead multi-functional marketing strategies for our Aftermath team. In this role, you will translate functional and Company direction into actionable, initiative-based strategies and lead cross-functional teams to achieve the strategic vision of the marketing team, all while aligning strongly with the Company’s direction. 

To be successful, you’ll want to be a problem solver who brings exceptional creative and analytical skills to develop best-in-class products and customer experiences. You’ll utilize a strong understanding of the business and the Company to identify, highlight, and ultimately lead the execution of strategic initiatives, providing the Company with a strong competitive advantage.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer the digital marketing program, including social media, internal website, and email campaigns to ensure brand consistency.
  • Create copy, source copy, and/or edit copy from other areas of the organization for marketing pieces, articles, and communications.
  • Manage marketing distribution channels including website, email, social media, and print.
  • Manage the online reputation of the brand. Generate positive online reviews and respond to reviews.
  • Set and achieve strategic goals related to social media metrics, advertising, and marketing campaign initiatives.
  • Understand and guide efforts in graphic design, website creation, and maintenance.
  • Build and manage a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals to supply marketing services.
  • Conduct market research and stay abreast of competitor positioning.
  • Support Sales in new business development initiatives.
  • Conduct rigorous market, competitor, and customer research to guide the design and optimization of the performance and prioritization of initiatives.
  • Continuously and methodically test new ways of doing business to improve customer experiences.
  • Work with the Director of Local Sales to develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and align across functional teams, including peer marketing teams, sales, IT, and operations, and develop fully integrated business plans to drive results.
  • Develop and implement demand and lead generation.
  • Communicate the roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executives to the franchise network.
  • Manage all aspects of the marketing budget including allocation, maintenance, and adjustment to maximize ROI. 
  • Drive the brand strategy, redefining and reimagining the current brand strategy to ensure it's properly aligned with the overall organizational strategic plan.
  • Develop the SEO strategy to ensure content is optimized and search engine friendly to increase company profitability.
  • Develop and optimize campaigns through work with social media partners.
  • Optimize paid search copy, website content, and landing pages.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Marketing, or an analytically rigorous field; Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of product management and marketing experience are required

Work Location: 

This is a position based out of our Aurora, Illinois Corporate Office. 

In this role, you’ll be expected to travel approximately 15-20% of the time.
