Advertised Job Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely payroll disbursements, regulatory compliance and reporting, assisting with maintenance and updating of internal control procedures of complex transactions, and assisting with financial entries. The Financial Analyst will assist the College's Finance, Budget, and Grants Office and the College's Department of Human Resources to complete departmental goals and objectives as they relate to payroll; assists with specialized payroll reporting as needed. Responsible for the coordination of workflow involving payroll processing. Provides guidance and support to the faculty and staff of the College of Arts and Sciences as it relates to payroll, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and University policies and procedures. Provide support as necessary to the Dean's office staff and units within the College by assisting with the hiring and appointing of Graduate Assistants. Contribute to the overall success of the College of Arts and Sciences by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Education must be supplemented by three to five years relevant payroll and other financial related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
