In this role, you have the opportunity to

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you are the interface between the factory, development and suppliers. Your main focus is to guarantee first time right product quality. This includes design for manufacturability and supplier maturity.

We are looking for 2 new SQE’s: the first will work on the New Project Introduction projects and the second will work on Supply Chain Control (audit and assessment related).

You are responsible for

1. Driving quality and compliance development and/or improvement at suppliers when needed; Philips face to supplier(s) on lean improvements (for both SQE’s).

2. Ensuring raw materials/components/products at supplier(s) are released from supplier(s) to Philips according to the agreed requirements (for Product Control SQE)

3. Partnering with R&D, Operations and Procurement personnel to proactively engineer quality and ensure compliance for raw materials, components, finished products from suppliers (for Product Control SQE).

4. Developing and supporting regulatory compliance gaps at suppliers, including supplier quality system audits and process development activities (for Supply Chain SQE).

5. Managing additions/deletions/changes to the status of suppliers on the Approved Supplier List, including supplier master file records (for Supply Chain SQE).

You are a part of

You will be part of a team of 14 people all focused on Supplier Quality Engineering. 2 team members drive day to day quality in the factory, 6 are allocated to New Product Introduction projects or LCM activities to drive initial purchased quality and the remaining work on Supply Chain. The team is highly diverse and have their origin in different countries. Many of your colleagues have an automotive background.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of Supplier Quality
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Experience in highly regulated environment such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, pharma is required.
  • Soft skills we are looking for: Strong communicator, proactive, flexible and taking ownership.
  • APQP/PPAP implementation experience is required for the Product Control SQE
  • General APQP/PPAP experience is required for the Supply Chain SQE
  • Auditing experience is a requirement for the Supply Chain SQE.
  • 8D/CAPA experience is a preference
  • Knowledge of ISO / QSR standards is preferred
  • Open for candidates coming from smaller companies
