HR Consultant - HR Budget & Benefit Financials

Acts as an advisor and subject matter expert to HR functions and HRBP teams in support of HR Shared Services organization. Provides strategic guidance related to procedures, best practices and processes for functions including benefits, learning and development, recruiting, compliance, reporting etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates HR expertise in creative and effective ways and understands the interrelationships of multiple HR functions and operations. 
  • Establishes strong relationships with HR partners and provides guidance in support of functional and organizational goals around budgeting, vendor management, auditing, compliance, etc. 
  • Acts as subject matter expert in the continuous improvement of applicable HR practices, procedures and processes across a variety of functions.
  • Owns and improves current HR processes across multiple HR functions. 
  • Leads complex HR projects as needed including addressing ad hoc requests that may relate to any HR function and acts as escalation point for junior members of HR Shared Services.
  • Leads auditing, reporting, budgeting, communications and creation of special reports for a variety of HR functions.
  • Provides HR analyses and insights support various HR functions including budgeting, compliance, reporting, technology.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR business functions, compliance requirements and industry practices.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills and ability to manage and complete work in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize completion of multiple complex tasks/projects in support of several business partners and leaders.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex and ambiguous problems in order to complete tasks.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to deliver consistent services utilizing HR work methods to address complex people, process and technology related issues. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, HR Systems (ie. ServiceNow, WorkDay, Cornerstone) and other business-related software systems and the use of data reporting technologies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent. 
  • Typically, a minimum of six years of related work experience.
