Der Leiter unseres Project Management Office (PMO) wird die Implementierung und Verbesserung von Prozessen, Dokumentationsstandards, globalen und lokalen Projekt-Governance Reviews und Priorisierungen von Projekten in den Bereichen Analytik, Fertigung, Qualität und Supply Chain von strategischer Bedeutung verantworten. Er treibt aktiv die Einführung von neuen Prozessen zur Verbesserung der Effizienz und Effektivität des Projektportfolios und Projekt Managements am Standort Marburg voran.

The Head of our Project Management Office (PMO) will actively initiate, drive and sustain implementation and improvement of processes, documentation standards, global and local project governance reviews and prioritizations of projects in the area of analytics, manufacturing, quality and supply chain of strategic importance. Lead implementation of new processes initiatives designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Project Management Department at the Marburg site.

  • Manage the project portfolio for Marburg Operations with the project management team
  • Identify necessary improvements to Project Management practices and to drive in collaboration with the senior leadership the development and implementation of new Project Management standards
  • Ensure organizational alignment and that risks, issues and mitigations are being properly addressed and communicated and to complete critical deliverables of the Marburg Operations Project Management Department include budget development, project budget planning and management, staff planning and assignment and performance management
  • Implement all aspects of talent management and development of the PM community
  • Lead a team of Project Management professionals
  • Define key performance and capability gaps, propose department wide change projects to address the gaps, lead or sponsor the implementation of change projects
  • Participation on site and/or global initiatives and change projects to achieve advancement in the discipline of Project Management in Marburg and CSL, also by representing CSL at external scientific and professional meetings or associations
  • Demonstrate continued personal growth and development in leadership, project management and business understanding
  • Link projects with the CSL strategy delivering critical site projects and assignments in support of local site requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring the production of consistent, high quality project status reports that are produced to inform key senior management stakeholders of project progress against objectives and to identify how risks and issues are being managed.
  • Identify staff training and development needs based on skill gaps. Develop and implement specific plans to address the gaps.
  • Set direction for the Project Management Department and make decisions that impact the entire department including policies, practices and procedures.
  • Training Planning and Management: Determine the training and development needs of staff and work to ensure the plans are carried out.

  • Required: A university degree in Science, Allied Health or Engineering.
  • Preferred: An advanced degree (MS, PhD) in Science, Allied Health or Engineering, Masters of Business, Administration (MBA) or equivalent and certified Project/Program Manager

Essential Experience:

  • Greater than seven years’ experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven global experience (at least five years) in all areas of staff management, this includes staff resource estimation, recruitment, assignment, assessment and development.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams through organizational change. Proven expertise in identifying and leading process change initiatives to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in developing, managing and controlling departmental headcount and financial plans.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in Project Management based on a successful track record of project delivery and implementation of project systems.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in the manufacturing processes for Pharmaceuticals and GMP requirements
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams and process improvement teams in a matrix environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication and conflict management skills to influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization and achieve team objectives while maintaining a positive team environment.
  • The ability to clearly communicate complex issues to senior management so critical issues are understood quickly and can be addressed immediately.
  • Strong strategic planning, quantitative and decision analysis capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and controlling cross functional project budgets.

Desired Experience:

  • Proficient in the use of Project Management processes and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Lean/6Sigma background
