Job Description We are seeking a customer-obsessed, proven, fungible and innovative manager to lead a high-impact team focused on driving sales and profitability growth, delivering a best-in-class customer experience, developing marketing strategies, and efficiently driving awareness and traffic to the Tools store. The Manager of Marketing must be an effective leader and communicator and will work with some of Amazon’s most important seller partners and across multiple internal teams. They will conceive, propose, and sell new ideas, strategies, and concepts; guide those projects to completion, and take full ownership and responsibility for successful delivery. In this role you will be expected to flex both your analytical skills and your creative muscles and should be as comfortable with the marketing science as you are with the marketing art, demonstrating your ability to appropriately use one to inform the other. You must be able to work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level with your team (optimizing campaigns with merchandising tools, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems). The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with online and offline marketing, making data-driven decisions, and influencing others. They will have deep experience in general management, customer facing businesses, demonstrated ability to drive traffic and new customer acquisition, and proven ability to build and manage a high-performance team. Specific Responsibilities Developing and executing strategies to drive profitable growth Conceptualizing and building the full lifecycle of marketing and merchandising for the Home Improvement store including creative development, targeting segmentation, and performance analysis Driving traffic growth from multiple channels and platforms, including free and paid search, email marketing, affiliate marketing, social networking, mobile, and on-site placements Leading cross-functional marketing initiatives and brand partnerships Knowing our market and being obsessively aware of new products, brands, trends, and opportunities Creating and presenting high-quality documents and presentations to senior leadership both inside and outside the company Driving cooperative marketing programs with leading vendors in the industry Determining the appropriate methods and systems of metrics for measuring and monitoring marketing effectiveness, including brand awareness, brand equity, and sales results Partnering with internal teams to improve data quality and enhance the customer experience. Conducting business analysis to ensure the health of the business and to provide visibility to senior leadership Business Management Stellar problem-solving and issue-resolution skills with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven work environment where multitasking while maintaining quality and attention to detail are the norm Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to use customer research, hard data, and metrics to back up intuition and assess the efficacy of marketing programs High bias for taking ownership, flexibility, and exceptional communication skills Strong leader with an aptitude for organization who can prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Ability to leverage, influence, navigate, and build partnerships across business and software teams Basic Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills 7+ years’ experience managing online CX, brand management, advertising, marketing, or other relevant experience that highlights your ability to deliver results, learn new skills, and emerge as a leader in whatever you do B.A./B.S. required People management experience and a history of creating a positive, team-driven work environment Preferred Qualifications Facility with SQL (basic queries); proficiency with HTML, CML, Excel, Experience in Tools or Home Improvement industry is a plus but not required M.B.A. preferred
