Product Marketing Manager APAC


The Role

We’re building a world-class product marketing team to own the launch and adoption of TransferWise products across global markets and we’re looking for a stand-out Product Marketing Manager for APAC to join the team in our Singapore office.

The APAC PMM will launch brand new products in the region, own the go-to-market strategy and launch campaigns, and drive adoption in the market. We recently launched a new product, the TransferWise borderless account and debit card, in Europe. The first major project the APAC PMM will undertake will be to launch the borderless account and card in Australia. You will own the go-to-market strategy, launch campaign planning and execution to make this product land with a bang in Australia, one of our fastest growing markets. With the Australia launch firmly under your belt, your role will expand to include the product marketing strategy and execution for key Asia markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and India. As you grow in the role there will be opportunities to lead and mentor other marketers in the region and build on the team there.

On the day to day, the APAC PMM will be responsible for insight, messaging, product comms strategy and execution. You will work closely with local product teams providing insight to inform product decision-making and running in-product marketing tests to move your KPIs.  You will own local email and push channel marketing and implement lifecycle marketing campaigns to make sure all TransferWise customers understand and use all our products to the best advantage for their use case.

You will work closely with regional PR teams on integrated campaigns and with PMMs across markets to share feedback, test insight and best practice to drive adoption, cross-sell and retention for all TransferWise products with a scalable approach.

Specifically the APAC PMM will:

  • Plan and execute the go-to-market strategy and launch campaigns for the TransferWise borderless account and debit card in APAC markets, starting with Australia.
  • Expand to develop product marketing strategy and execution for key Asia markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Japan
  • Develop value proposition, messaging frameworks and positioning for local markets across business and consumer products
  • Run customer insight programmes, user testing, research and competitive analysis
  • Run scalable product marketing tests with local product teams to drive adoption
  • Work with central teams to develop creative assets for product marketing
  • Develop lifecycle comms programme for the region across email, push and in-product messaging
  • Maintain and communicate product release roadmap with wider company
  • Work closely with and mentor other marketers based in the region
  • Work closely with Product Marketing Managers in UK and U.S. sharing experience and learning, reporting to Product Marketing Lead in London


A bit about you:

  • You must have proven success at launching new products for a consumer technology company
  • Strong, demonstrable experience in product marketing, product management or related field
  • Experience in product marketing in at least one of our key markets: Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Japan
  • Experience in email marketing with proficiency in HTML and CSS 
  • University degree level education
  • Demonstrated bias for data-driven decision making, ability to design and execute tests with proven results to statistical significance
  • Demonstrated experience running customer insights programmes
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting strategy and results to the global company
  • Self-starter with natural drive to get things done and work cross-team effectively
  • Project management experience managing product roadmap and/or launch campaigns with clear process and proven results
  • Genuine passion and interest in contributing to our mission, we’re not looking for someone just to do the job, but to help us change the way the world moves money
  • Language skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken to native standard), additional Asian language skills are a plus
  • Must have legal right to work in Singapore
