Clara Labs

Clara Labs is establishing a new class of assistant that understands you as a person would, but operates at the scale, speed, and persistence of a machine. To do this, we use a human-in-the-loop approach, mixing intelligent automation software with remote human workers to form a powerful and frictionless customer service.

Our initial focus is on scheduling meetings via email. We’ve observed the anxieties caused by cluttered inboxes, complex calendars, and juggling scheduling preferences. We’re out to eliminate that pain so our customers have more time to focus on what matters.

We aim to make automated assistants a truly everyday productivity tool. Our deep focus on conversation quality and flexibility via our human-in-the-loop approach differentiates us from other automated assistants and has helped us deliver a highly reliable and flexible natural language interface from day one.

The Role

The Clara Labs operations team is seeking an experienced analyst to deliver insights to improve our product, with specific emphasis on how we interface with the contractor community behind the human-in-the-loop. We are building tools and processes to work harmoniously with our tech platforms to provide our customers with a fast and highly accurate scheduling support service. On a typical day, you may collaborate with people at all levels of the team to design a staffing model, research incentive compensation, run an ad-hoc analysis to optimize our candidate sourcing process, or build reports on workforce performance.

You Will

  • Conduct and present ad-hoc analyses to inform product operations strategy
  • Derive insights on worker behavior, engagement, compensation, and performance
  • Define operational and product metrics and build dashboards
  • Plan experiments to determine success of initiatives and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Partner with engineering to solve real-time problems and build solutions
  • Build models to optimize product performance

You Have

  • Demonstrated leadership in analytics and strategy. You dive deep into data, are able to zoom out from the numbers, understand business impact, make recommendations for improvements in key areas, and drive implementation
  • An appreciation for scrappiness, the challenges and nuance of working with data, and finding it when it isn’t readily available
  • Extensive experience with analytics tools (SQL, Excel, Python, Chartio)
  • The ability to work collaboratively when incentives aren’t always aligned in a fast-paced environment
  • A solid background in math, statistics and designing experiments
  • Strength in quantitative reasoning, logical thinking, and verbal and written communication to varied audiences

Bonus Points

  • You’re excited to join a team set out to define excellence in a human-in-the-loop world

If you are excited about Clara and think you'd be a good fit but don't match the description perfectly, we'd love to hear from you anyway.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
