Summary: The Logistics/Facilities Coordinator ensures that the workplace infrastructures, equipment and support services are operating effectively, efficiently and are ready for use. This is an entry-level position Minimum qualifications and requirements: Must be able to work independently, have a positive outlook and excellent work ethic. Possesses strong problem solving skills. Organized and detail oriented. Must have the drive and ability to complete projects. Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and professionally with C-Level staff. Provide excellent customer service at all times. Education: High School Degree & Some College Experience Can type 40 WPM Experience using MS Outlook, Excel and Word in a professional environment. Follows direction and is comfortable with routine tasks. Essential Department Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned as required. Schedule maintenance and minor-major repairs to assure facilities are operating safely and efficiently. Oversee repairs when possible. Ensure repairs are done in a timely manner with minimal disruption to operations. Perform minor repairs as needed or assigned (example using a step-ladder to change out light bulbs). Ensure hired vendors are providing accurate services. Perform, record and report facility and furniture inspections (roof included), identifying and correcting hazards and problem areas. Respond quickly and professionally to internal requests and communicate updates throughout the completion of the request. Assist and guide internal and external clients with order processes, systems and procedures; modify as necessary in order to maximize efficiencies. Resolve customer problems & complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. Create, submit and fulfill purchase order requests - Act as a purchasing agent. Maintain office, maintenance and janitorial supply stock levels. Enforce the parking program policies and monitor the parking lots. Remove overflowing recyclable material to recycle bin as needed. Distribute, ship, track and re-route mail and packages. Keep office spaces tidy and organized. Create reports as requested by the Logistics manager. Maintain document repository for the department. Occasionally build, move or dispose of office equipment. Utilize internal and external resources to complete tasks. The candidate must possess the following skills: Orchestrates multiple activities while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Thrives in a fast paced and demanding position. Ability to tune-out distractions and focus on the task at hand. Takes the initiative to complete unfinished department tasks. Keeps a high level of professionalism when corresponding with clients (verbal and written) Works efficiently with minimal supervision Accepts that required duties will change and develop as the department and company grow. Possesses a basic understanding of how to safely use packing tools. Problem Solving Project Management WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction Standing and Walking: Particularly for sustained periods of time Climb: Ladders and stairs Lifting: Raising objects ranging from 1lb – 50lbs. from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and sit at a desk, read and comprehend reason and analyze, use fine finger movements, and see, talk and hear.
