Software Test Automation Engineer

In a nutshell As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you'll come in each day with a mission- break code with automated tests. You'll work in an Agile Scrum development environment with a close-knit scrum team and be in constant communication with the developers, other testers, and designers sitting right next to you about the features you're creating. Our SaaS software provides a fun and constantly growing platform for you to always be working on something different and new as you grow in the company. Why QA? You get to solve puzzles and break features on a daily basis. You have a great amount of input into the final product while working closely with your Scrum team to make decisions about every feature your team creates. There are constant in-house trainings and lunch n' learns to teach you more about coding, testing, and our products. You're instantly part of a family of testers who work hard together and play hard together. What skills and responsibilities do you have? Intermediate coding skills. Intermediate understanding of C# and/or Java. Basic understanding of Version Control System (Git, TFS, etc.). At least 1 year of product or software testing experience under your belt. Ability to understand where, in a technology stack, a defect is. Can identify the line of code, if applicable. Writes automated tests for features being worked on by team. Maintains existing automated test suites. Finds high quality defects that, if missed, would have a huge impact on our clients. Rarely miss defects that make it out to production. Creatively find ways to break the software using automation. Work well with minimal supervision and can prioritize your own workload. Work with a close-knit team very well, are solution oriented, and show that you frequently go above and beyond of what was asked. Don't mind talking with the occasional MINDBODY client and/or various people throughout the organization to get the scoop on a really bad defect you may be trying to troubleshoot and crack. Can map out combinations and prioritize smartly to ensure good test coverage. Don’t mind asking questions until you wrap your head around complex ideas, and consistently use your curiosity to get to the bottom of things. Have a basic understanding of coding languages and technologies used at MINDBODY. What are some nice-to-haves? A college degree. Previous experience with MINDBODY products.
