Located in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs & a short distance from the city, we are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant, Tools to join our Adelaide based Infrastructure team dedicated in support our Federal Government customer base. You will be responsible for supporting and implementing a multitude of tools including, Sitescope, Operations Manager (OMi), Asset Manager (HPE AM), Operations Orchestrator (OO), Business Service Management (BSM), Server Automation (SA) and the underlying infrastructure. You will be a technical expert in large environments where your advanced troubleshooting skills in all aspects of Windows and Unix platforms is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and provide 3rd level support in Tool stacks
  • Provide ongoing BAU maintenance of installed tools
  • Respond to break/fix incident, problem, change, service requests within SLAs
  • Deliver Standard Operating Procedure documentation for end-to-end operational connectivity
  • Provide high level technical support and direction to implementation and operations team.
  • Develop on going documentation as part of the client’s nominated change management process, including creating associated technical documentation and representing change concerns to client.
  • Work in conjunction with a Design and deployment teams for operational activities Performing and executing lifecycle management, incident response activities and other BAU tasks including daily health checks
  • Investigate technical problems assigned to the Tools/Automation team and engage other SME's to assist in addressing such problems.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills & experience:

  • Preferred experience (3+ years) with the implementation and support of the following tools:
    • SCCM, SCOM, Sitescope, Operations Manager (OMi), Network Node Manager (NNM), Service Manager (SM9), Asset Manager (HPE AM), Propel, Operations Orchestrator (OO), Business Service Management (BSM), Server Automation (SA).  NB Experience in like Tools will be strongly considered for this position.
  • Strong experience in Scripting (e.g Perl, Vbscript, Powershell, Java) & Windows and Unix Operating Systems
  • Automation (automating repetitive tasks)
  • Demonstrated experience within large enterprise organisations
  • Demonstrated implementation and troubleshooting experience in Windows and Unix environments
  • Experience/knowledge of Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user security and operation system troubleshooting.
  • Sound understanding of ITIL
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong customer focus
  • A positive attitude, a passion for IT and a mindset that can adapt easily to change

Due to Federal Government client requirements, applicants must currently be Australian Citizens and be eligible to gain a Baseline Security Clearance. Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility and be willing to work outside of business hours including nights and weekends as per an on-call roster.
