About the business and job scope

The Essilor value proposition is mainly oriented towards a vast product selection and availability with a premium service. Delivering the right level of service is then a priority over other dimensions of the supply chain execution. Nevertheless, to protect our margin, it is mandatory to take full advantage of our production network by combining different capabilities and costs.

The mission of the Iberia Order Planning & Fulfilment (OP&F) role is to deliver the service level agreement (SLA) for customer orders, balancing the local laboratory capacity and near/offshore laboratories capacity to reach the committed sourcing mix on budget. The role monitors the E2E service from laboratory to customer delivery and develops recovery plans in case of deviation on SLA’s, engaging all parties required.

The position reports to the Local Supply Chain Leader in the Iberia Supply Chain Team. and works coordinated with local and EMEA regional team and has responsibility over the delivery of the following KPIs:

1. Customer Order Fill-Rate

2. Sourcing Mix

3. Cost to Serve

Areas of Responsibilties and related activities:

Order planning

  • Validate the rough-cut capacity planning with the laboratories on a weekly basis, and report change to the regional orders planning & fulfilment team.
  • Adapt the routing of customer orders across the network of laboratories based on SLA to deliver the right service at the lowest production cost, following guidelines given by the regional orders planning & fulfilment team.
  • Set up the new flows to support the adaptation of the sourcing plan.

Order fulfilment

  • Consolidate all order fulfilment information from all sources of supply and from the customer service of the country/ business units/laboratories.
  • Detect deviations between plan and actuals and address issues across the entire organization.
  • Give guidelines to the different stakeholders involved in the fulfilment process so that perpetual synchronization of operations ensures the highest fulfilment rate.
  • Update the sourcing rules of orders in advance whenever needed to support the service
  • Organize and follow up recovery plans when service is attacked.
  • Coordinate with the supply & inventory specialist on product shortages in the laboratory or local inventories and follow up recovery plans.

Reporting and digital capabilities

  • Monitor and report on a daily/weekly/monthly basis on service delivery performance and actions.
  • Build and develop the Supply Chain reporting system to drive business decisions.
  • Create and publish dashboards to keep the local operations and commercial community updated about performance, opportunities, challenges.

Sustainability

  • Approach business decisions with responsibility to contribute to the group's sustainability and in doing so ensure that we can continue to fulfil our mission of improving lives by improving sight.
  • Support sourcing decision in line with corporate guidelines to reach targeted inventory level.

Preferred requirements/competencies

  • Educational Background in Business Administration, Engineering, Master Supply Chain.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cross-functional Supply Chain/Logistics/Manufacturing in a global supply network.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environement.
  • Technical/functional knowledge of IT systems: ERP, SC Planning solutions, strongly preferred SAP software package.
  • Experience in data analysis with Microsoft Excel, QlikView, Power BI and similar.
  • Real experience and skills preparing and presenting Power Point presentations.
  • Cross-functional experience engaging people from different business areas and geographies.
  • Lateral leadership skills and team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and networking skills.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Optical industry background is a plus.
