The University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center's Office of Clinical Research (UVACC OCR) is expanding its Quality Assurance program and seeks a Clinical Research Quality Assurance Coordinator to join the team.

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance Plan for the UVA Cancer Center as well as being involved in the education/training of clinical research coordinators and other OCR staff.

As a QA Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementation of the UVA Cancer Center's clinical research quality plan, including the Cancer Center’s Data Safety Monitoring Plan. The position is also responsible for ensuring that OCR staff understand the plan and the process for auditing studies, both internally and by external entities.

Incumbent will work closely with the Quality Assurance and Data manager to ensure standardization of work within the OCR by developing standard operating procedures.

This role also works with the Education Coordinator in helping develop educational programs related to orientation, training and continuous education of OCR staff.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree. 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience: At least two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Two years direct clinical research experience. Experience with cancer centers and oncology clinical trials programs is highly desired.

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
